Collaboration at Work!

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), the Association of Late Deafened Adults (ALDA), and the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) collaborated with the National Association of Theater Owners (NATO) on a joint agreement on movie captioning. In their joint recommendations to the Department of Justice (DOJ), they recommended that closed captioning (referring to devices such as Caption Glasses and CaptiView) be installed in all digital movie theater auditoriums nationwide. ODHH applauds this spirit of collaboration and will keep you informed as to the final result from the DOJ.
