Legislative Awareness Day 2015
It’s that time of the year once again! The Governor’s Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) is proud to announce their 6thannual Legislative Awareness Day (LAD), which will be on February 16, 2015. We encourage all deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind Marylanders to attend.
The purpose of the Legislative Awareness Day is to promote awareness about how the legislative process works in Maryland and how to be a proactive advocate. The day includes an awards ceremony recognizing leaders in the community, a tour of state house, the opportunity to meet one-on-one with your legislators, and observing the evening House General Session. This year, there will also a panel of experts with an active discussion on advocacy.
The event will take place in Annapolis in the Legislative Services Building, starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. Additional details will be sent to all those who register. The deadline to RSVP is January 30, 2015 and you can RSVP at http://www.tinyurl.com/LAD2015registration
We hope to see you all there!
