Veteran Information
The Department of Veterans Affairs reports that hearing damage is the most common issue for veterans. Many soldiers are often exposed to extremely loud volumes during combat; exposure to more than 85 decibels continuously or 140 decibels for any length of time can damage hearing. Such damage to the ears is permanent for many veterans.
