State Board of Sign Language Interpreters (SBSLI)
As of December 22, 2025, the Governor’s Workgroup for State Board of Sign Language Interpreter’s efforts are paused until 2026 to allow time for discussions with the General Assembly. Any questions or concerns you may email [email protected] and your questions will be shared with the workgroup leaders (Hannah Dier and Laura Gyamfi).
Please be advised that we are no longer accepting applications through the OneStop portal. This closure includes the submission of application fees.
As a result of this change, we are no longer on track for licensure to begin on Thursday, January 1, 2026. The licensure process has been paused and will resume after the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session.
For notes from the Governor’s Office Workgroup for SBSLI. We will continue to upload the notes from the meetings. The notes will be shared with the leaders for review prior to being posted.
