Bio Lauren Whiteman

Lauren Whiteman serves as the Director of the Office of Children and Youth
with Specific Health Care Needs (OCYSHCN) at the Maryland Department of
Health. OCYSHCN oversees follow-up for all newborn screening, including
bloodspot screening, hearing screening, and heart disease screening, as
well as manages other programs to support children and youth with specific
health care needs. Ms. Whiteman has a Masters Degree in Health Policy and
Programs and has focused her career on underserved populations
