Joint Chairmen’s Report (JCR) 2020

The Maryland Legislature have been looking at ways to protect Deaf and hard of hearing individuals from fraudulent and unqualified interpreters. They asked the Governor’s Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide a response on ways to protect and serve users of sign language interpreting services. The video provides a recap of the steps our office has taken. The report is available below.
